  1. This piece is concentrating on expression and emotion within the eyes. I think these three paintings work well as a series; they balance each other well and tell a story. They measure 50 by 20cm. The material used is thick oil paints, i have also used looser brush marks - i feel this helps to portray the feeling of suspicion and paranoia.

  2. Harriet the painting of the eyes are amazing, they show just how much of a skilled painter you are. The texture and quality you have achieved make the eyes look so real and what I find fascinating is that they always seem to be looking directly at you. Painting is now my speciality but I can appreciate the time and concentration that goes into creating a piece such as this. Great works look forward to seeing more. 6. Great work Harriet this piece shows real talent. I like how you have incorporated them into a sequence so it looks like a film strip and shows a sense of movement and has an eerie feel. You have really caught the emotion and angry expression throught the use of shadow and creases around the eyes that makes the viewer feel uneasy and paranoid as the eyes seem to follow you.
